Lets Talk.....

Lets talk makeup...this is something I could talk about for days on end. I didn't always love makeup though, mostly because I was so pale and I could NEVER find a foundation that matched my skin. Granted, I was using drugstore foundations and this was also back in the early 2000's when I was in high school! I will say that drugstore makeup has come a long way since then, including a much greater shade range.

About 6 or 7 years ago, I walked into Sephora for the first time, well the first time with the intention to make a purchase that is. If you live in Central PA, let me tell you what, the Sephora at the Park City Mall in Lancaster, PA is amazing. I spoke with a Sephora employee and she matched me with a foundation for my skin type/color. This foundation was Make Up For Ever HD Foundation, it was amazing. I still think that it is amazing, but I don't use it as much as I used to, mostly because I have found that I don't need the full coverage on a daily basis. However, if you are looking for a full coverage foundation, I highly recommend it! Another product that I love is their Microfinishing Powder. You can buy this in a loose or pressed powder. I have always used the loose and really liked it. The only thing that bothered me was that I felt like I was wasting so much product when I was trying to get it on my brush. So last week I purchased the pressed powder version and used it for the first time today. I have to say I am loving it SO FAR. I will give you a more updated review of it when I've worn it more and can see how it holds up with the humidity that comes with the Summer months. I have tried A LOT of setting powders over the years but I have always comes back to the Make Up For Ever one. In my opinion, nothing else compares to it.

I can't wait to share with you what I am currently wearing, which is the Maskcara makeup line! I will talk all about this on my next post!

Who Am I?

For most of my life the only name I ever went by was Sarah. My only roles were being a daughter and a sister. Then I became a girlfriend, a fiancee, and then finally a wife. I have been married to my husband, Wolf, since October 21, 2011. He is currently a Captain in the United State Marine Corps and we are stationed in Quantico, VA.  We have been stationed here for 3 years and we will be here one more year while he completes EWS(Expeditionary Warfare School).

Then in July of 2014, not only did I gain a new name, I gained a new role, that was the one of Mom. My oldest daughter, Wynter will turn 3 this July.  In June of 2016, I became a Mom of TWO GIRLS. My youngest, Skye will be ONE in June.

Currently, I am a stay at home mom, which was never my plan, but I am grateful for the time I have been able to spend with them. I have my Masters in School Counseling from Liberty University, which I am looking forward to putting to good use next year when we move to a new duty station.

I enjoy reading, writing, traveling, makeup, and all things beauty.  I am a lover of sweets, especially donuts and cupcakes! (HA) Also, I am addicted to COFFEE. My favorite is Dunkin Donuts!!

I look forward to sharing many things with you in my posts, which will include my favorite makeup to my favorite small shops and products!!!

Sarah
